To the Students and Families of the Class of 2029,
Welcome to a new school year at Fayette County High School! We’re excited to begin this journey with you and look forward to all the memorable events that make high school special—from Homecoming and Prom to, ultimately, graduation.
In recent years, the cost of senior year activities has increased significantly. For example, the Class of 2025 paid over $300 in senior fees to cover expenses such as graduation (including caps and gowns totaling $28,039), Senior Week events ($11,165), and other items like yard signs, senior shirts, diplomas, programs, sound systems, security, and the senior breakfast—adding up to nearly $27,500. Additionally, major school events like Prom and Homecoming cost $48,088 and $14,500 respectively in 2025.
To help reduce the financial burden during senior year and ensure these events remain special, we are introducing a mandatory annual class fee of $75 per year for each student in the Class of 2029. This fee will be collected each year you attend FCHS, helping to spread out the costs and lower your senior fees when you graduate. Payments can be made through MySchoolBucks using the link below. Families will also have the option to make smaller, manageable payments using the drop down menu.
We appreciate your support as we work to keep these traditions affordable and meaningful for all students. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
